Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) - 01/2012

Applications are invited from eligible Graduate and Post Graduate, male and Female Indian Citizens for joining  various branches of the Indian Air Force.

A)Flying Branch: As on Officer in the Flying Branch, you would be trained to fly some of the most modern aircraft in the world.

B) Technical Branch: As an Officer in the Technical Branch, you would be responsible for some of the most sophisticated technologies and systems in the world.

C) Ground Duty Branch: As a Ground Duty officer, you would be performing various branch specific duties in the Administration, Logistics, Accounts, Meteorology or Education branch.

AFCAT CENTRES:

2.Eligible candidates may appear for AFCAT- 01/2012 at any of the locations nearest to them across the country:

Northern Region: Ambal, Amristar, Bathinda,Chandigarh, Dehrodun, Delhi, Jammu, Leh, Pathankot, Srinagar, Sirsa, Sarsawa, Allahabad, Agra, Barelly,Gwalior, Lucknow and Varanasi.

Southern Region: Bengaluru, Belgaum, Bidar, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Mysore, Thanjavur, Thiruvanthapuram, Port Blair, Sulur (Coimbatore).

Eastern Region: Aizawal, Bagdora, Chabua, Guwahati, Hashimara, Imphal, Jorhat, Kolkata, Kalikunda, Mohanbari, Shhillong, Sithcar, Tezpur, Patna, Gorakhpur.

Western Region: Ahmedbad, Jaipur, Jamnagar, Jodhpur, Mou Abu, Mumbai, Pune, Thane, Vadodara, Nagpur, Ojhar(Nasik), Nal(bikaner), Suratgarh.

3.Emoluments: On successful completion of training newly commissioned Flying Officers would be entitles to approaximate gross monthly emoluments in different branches as given  below:

    a) Flying Branch             :  Rs.59,466/-
    b) Technical Branch       : Rs.50,716/-
    c) Ground Duty Branches: Rs. 48,216/-

Other benefits such as Medical Insurance, Accommodation etc are over and above.

4. Statutory Warning:  Selection in the India Air Force is free, fair and merit based.  Any attempt to influnece the selection process detected at any stage is liable to lead to termination of candidature or service and legal actiion will be intiated against the concerned individual.

   c) Date of AFCAT Exam                     : 26th Feb 2012.
   d) Date of Commencement of Course   : Jan 2013.
