Walk-in Interviews in Vizag for L&T Construction

Inviting applicants to the Walk - in - Interview in Hotel Dolphin, Dabagardens, Visakhapatnam  on date 20th November, 2011(Sunday) at 9 a.m to 4 p.m. for the posts of  Project Execution (Civil), Design Engineering (Civil Structures), Quality Assurance (Civil), Survey, Electrical, Signaling & Telecom(Electronics & Telecommunication, Project Planning & Control(Civil), Health Safety & Environment and Permanent Way(Civil)
Details follows.

Project Execution (Civil) Ref: RLBLI/PE/01
Job involves execution of large Railway line projects involving embankments/cuttings, etc., Experience in Planning, Supervising, Coordinating and Controlling construction and erection activities at site including that of subcontractors required.

Design Engineering (Civil Structures) Ref: RLBU/DE/02
Job involves design of permanent/temporary/special-type structures, concrete and steel bridges etc., knowledge of pre-stressed concrete structures and railway bridge codes will be an added advantage.

Quality Assurance (Civil) Ref: RLBU/QA/03
Job involves development, implementation and maintenance of QA/QC procedures as per quality plans, conducting various quality test & quality audits in Lab/Field for EPC work.

Survey Ref: RLBU/Survey/04
Job involves detailed engineering surveys including topographic,survey, staking out, alignments etc., Experience of working with GPS is desirable.  Candidates with ITI certification in Survey will also be considered.

Electrical  Ref: RLBU/EL/05
Job involves electrical supply installation, planning, procurement, erection and commissioning, General Electrification, HT & LT substations etc.,

Signaling & Telecom(Electronics & Telecommunication  Ref: RLBU/ST/06
Job involves design engineering, planning,procurement, construction and commissioning of railway signaling & telecommunication systems.

Project Planning & Control(Civil) Ref: RLBU/PPC/07
Job involves planning, scheduling and monitoring of project related activities including project cost control using planning software like  Primavera/MS project. Knowledge of Quantity Survey & SAP will be desirable.

Health Safety & Environment Ref: RLBU/HSE/08 
Job involves developing, maintaining and operating HSE requirements, conducting safety audits at project sites as per HSE standards and training of personnel for compliance.Note: Civil Engineers with a Diploma in Construction/Industrial Safety preferred.

Permanent Way(Civil) Ref: RLBU/PW/09
Job involves planning, laying out and construction of new railway lines, gauge conversion, yard remodeling, manual/mechanized tract  linking including installation of points & crossing under traffic conditions, manual/mechanized packing, flashbutt/aluminothermic, welding, ultrasonic flaw detector testing etc.,

NOTE FOR ALL POSTS

1)Qualifications & Experience: First Class Engineering Graduates with 3 to 20 years of relevant experience or Diploma Engineers with 5 to 25 years of relevant experience.  For all positions, experience in rail infrastructure projects preferred..


2) Emoluments are comparable to the best in the industry an wil be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Those interested in  contractual appointment, including senior professionals are also welcome.
